Michelle McCool WWE Career
Michelle
McCool entered SmackDown! as a face with a personal trainer gimmick, a
reference to a past job of hers. Unlike most of the other "Rookie Divas"
who participated in the 2004 "RAW" Diva Search, McCool aimed to become
an actual professional wrestler.
McCool competed in the first ever SmackDown! Rookie Diva Contest with
Joy Giovanni, Rochelle Loewen, and Lauren Jones, which was hosted by
Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie. McCool came in second to Joy.
She entered a feud with Dawn Marie and McCool's first SmackDown!
wrestling match was a tag team match between McCool and her partner the
Big Show against Dawn Marie and Rene Dupree. The match ended with Big
Show pinning Dupree, but McCool and Marie would continue to feud. A
couple months later, McCool became apart of a feud between MNM and
Heidenreich. McCool would feud with MNM member Melina, which would lead
to a Melina winning her first match in WWE. After that match, MNM
attacked McCool. This was McCool's last match before heading to train in
WWE's development territories.
McCool was allocated to WWE's Atlanta, Georgia territory, Deep South
Wrestling. While in DSW she would wrestle, perform interviews, host
segments and provide color commentary with Nigel Sherrod during DSW
television tapings. She also got involved in a mini feud with Angel
Williams. McCool was next moved to Ohio Valley Wrestling, where she
would stay until a suitable gimmick was found for her WWE return. While
in OVW, she would be paired with Amish Roadkill and KC James as their
manager.
McCool made her return on the June 2, 2006 edition of SmackDown! as a
heel with a "sexy teacher" gimmick. Since her return Michelle has
aligned herself with Kristal Marshall and feuded with Jillian Hall and
Ashley Massaro. Michelle won her first match upon her return on the July
28, 2006 edition of Smackdown where she defeated Jillian Hall by using
the ropes as leverage. This feud then broke off and Michelle then went
on and managed Idol Stevens and KC James on Smackdown!, leaving Kristal
Marshall still feuding in late summer of 2006 against Ashley Massaro. |
